Recently, the technical team of Tomé Engenharia, a leading heavy industrial engineering service company from Brazil, led by the company’s technical director Felipe Camilo Inagaki, visited the XCMG Forklift Division to conduct several days of technical training and in-depth exchanges on reach stackers. The purpose of this visit is to further enhance the team’s mastery of equipment operation and maintenance, and to promote the deepening of the strategic cooperation between the two parties.
Tomé Engenharia is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is one of the most powerful industrial engineering service companies in South America. The company has multiple operating bases in Brazil, equipped with the most advanced modular transportation equipment in South America, and its services cover key areas such as steel, petrochemicals, and energy. Tomé has reached a batch cooperation agreement with XCMG, and how to quickly master equipment performance and optimize the use and maintenance process has become the focus of this visit.
System training: theory + practical operation full module coverage
In the conference room, Tomé’s team studied CAN communication logic and circuit diagram reading methods in depth, and conducted simulated diagnosis exercises using laptops to lay the foundation for remote operation and maintenance.
The training content was tailored by the service training engineers of the forklift division and was divided into four major sections: theoretical explanation, practical training, fault simulation and system demonstration, to ensure that Tomé’s technical team truly mastered the entire process of using the equipment. In the reach stacker cockpit, the training engineer Felipe’s team gradually demonstrated the vehicle dashboard, touch system, operation mode switching, and diagnostic menu usage, and learned the calibration and parameter settings of the reach stacker’s main control system.
After leaving the cab, the team gathered outside the equipment, where XCMG experts explained the overall structure and maintenance points of the equipment, and gave a detailed introduction to the equipment structure and hydraulic layout, including the boom system, cooling module, maintenance channel and sensor installation location, and interacted on the convenience of maintenance and safety details.
Felipe and his party entered the main assembly workshop of XCMG Port Machinery and visited the production process of reach stackers, forklifts and tractors. Through on-site observation, they spoke highly of XCMG’s intelligent manufacturing, quality management and assembly standards.
In the equipment debugging area, the two sides focused on rehearsing fault simulation and emergency handling procedures. Engineers demonstrated common operations such as abnormal code query of the electronic control system, fault clearing, hydraulic system exhaust and solenoid valve replacement.
After the standard training, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as after-sales support, remote technical collaboration, spare parts supply and the construction of a secondary maintenance system. Tomé plans to build a dedicated service team in Brazil with basic maintenance and preliminary fault diagnosis capabilities. Director Felipe said in his summary: “XCMG not only provides us with excellent equipment, but also establishes a complete training and technical support system.
